We will be watching the movie "Das Leben der Anderen" (The Lives of Others). It is in German with English subtitles and is rated R. It won several German movie awards and an Emmy for best foreign film. It is about life in the former East Germany (DDR). The movie is famous for its moral seriousness and historic authenticity.

Kaveh is generously providing popcorn and beer. You may bring whatever additional drinks or snacks for yourself or to share, but you don't have to bring anything. (This is not one of our potlucks).
