Leute, wir gehen zuruck zum Brickskeller! Now that Summer is over, we are back at our traditional meeting spot for the monthly Wednesday Stammtisch. Brickskeller is especially appropriate since the Stammtisch is taking place around the time of Octoberfest, and Brickskeller is know for their wide selection of German beers.

Speaking of Octoberfest, for those of us that can't make it to Munich, we may be doing a meetup at one of the DC local events, so stay tuned.

In the meantime, we hope to see you at Brickskeller on October 7!

UPDATE: For people that want to meet up before going to Josephine's we can meet at the Capitol City Brewing Company, at 1100 New York Avenue, N.W. between 11th and 12th. From there, it's only a couple of blocks to Josephine's. So let's meet at Capitol City at 9PM, and plan to head over to Josephine's around 10PM. Also, please put you full name under you RSVP, because I have to give J.T. a guest list with everyone's name. Ich freue mich auf Samstag!!!!!! As far as Capitol City goes, look for us at the bar.

Leute, ich glaube, dass die Zeit gekommen ist, für eine echte Clubnacht! We're joining the 20s and 30s Group for a night of clubbing on K. Street.

In the K. Street D.C. nightclub scene, Josephine is considered to be one of the hottest, most exclusive venues. Normally that means long lines, cover charges, and mandatory bottle service minimums. At least that's how the game works in L.A. or Miami, which is what the K. Street promoters aspire to. However, Jared and J.T. of the 20s and 30s Going Out Group have arranged for the following privileges:

# We also get our OWN line (ask for the 20s & 30s meetup line)
# We get VIP access to *entire* club
# We get our own meetup wristbands and glow bracelets, so we can easily identify each other!! =)

Depending on the interest in this event, I may set something up so that people from the German meetup can congregate beforehand and then head over to Josephine.

We're joining the 20s and 30s Going out Group for a Charity happy hour at Saki, on 18th Street in Adams Morgan. It could be fun, since Saki is not part of our own regular 18th Street rotation. Jared and J.T. describe Saki as follows:

"If you haven't been there before, Saki is an ultra-sleek Asian grill and lounge and brings the technology, space-age decor and relaxed seating found in Europe's trendiest clubs."

UPDATE: We hold our monthly Wednesday meetup in September once more at Tony & Joe's at the Waterfront to enjoy the Summer weather. After this one it's back to Brikskeller, which we may do later this month as well. Hope to see you at T&J's on September 2!

UPDATE: Since the July Meetup at Tony & Joe's was such a success, we will be meeting there again for the August meetup. Rain or shine the place works really well because of the hospitable indoor area.

UPDATE: We are going to try Tony and Joe's at the Georgetown waterfront, which is right next to Sequoia, our usual Summer outdoor meeting spot on the Potomac. Figured we'd try Tony & Joe's for the following reasons:

1. Variety- try a new place
2. A more extensive beer selection, which for a German meetup is not an insignificant consideration.
3. A more accessible and convenient indoor bar in the event of bad weather, although the forecast is looking good for Wednesday.

Also, hoffentlich werden wir euch bei Tony & Joe's sehen!
