Mit ihrem Programm "Let's Misbehave" bieten die fünf jungen Sänger Musik aus jedem Jahrzehnt vom Charleston aus den Goldenen Zwanzigern, dem deutschen Schlager und Rock ’n’ Roll aus den Fünfzigern, über Discomusik aus den Siebzigern bis hin zu aktuellen Popsongs und Charterfolgen: mal furios-rasant, mal gefühlvoll-romantisch, mal abgrundtief-komisch, mal tiefgründig-anspruchsvoll – für jung und alt, und alles in a cappella art.
Das Qintett begeistert mit einer einzigartigen Mischung aus perfektem Satzgesang, originellen Arrangements bei abwechslungsreicher Musikauswahl, umwerfenden (Tanz-) Choreographien und frischem Auftreten auf hohem Niveau.

From the Charleston of the Golden Twenties and the most popular German tunes to the international rock ‘n’ roll hits of the ‘50s or disco greats of the ‘70s as well as more recent pop songs, vocaldente’s repertoire includes a wide range of the most popular music. Whether fast and upbeat or slow and mellow, their music promises to be either profoundly moving or delightfully entertaining. And all of it is a cappela!

Do not miss this special Tucholsky evening with couplets from Germany about love, politics and economics presented by Helus Hercygier and accompanied by Alexandra Gotthardt on the piano, which will be rounded out with brats and German beer.

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Deutsche Welle, and the Friends of Goethe-Institut in Washington, DC (FoGI), are proud to present a one-night-only, German-language event at the German Embassy on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 7:00 pm.

Helus Hercygier and Alexandra Gotthardt, who have been performing together since 2000, share a great interest in the legacy of German-Jewish author and social critic Kurt Tucholsky. Kurt Tucholsky was one of the most important and widely read journalists of the Weimar Republic and author of numerous satirical political revues, songs, and poems. His works continue to be widely read, and many of the topics are relevant – and contentious – even today.

Tickets $15/$12 per person, which includes German snacks as well as German beer, wine and soft drinks. The performance will be held in German.
