Hello !!!!! Und fast wieder ist ein Jahr rum und nach der Tradition der letzten Jahre wieder ein Party !!!!!!!
Diesmal wieder bei Annett&Ralph Zimmer in deren schnuckeligem Haus. Wie bisher : Verkleidung ist Bedingung - keine Option!! Preise fuer die besten Kostueme!! So, die Entscheidung ist getroffen und Annett und Ralph werden wieder ein Superessen von einem Italienischen Restaurant geliefert bekommen.
Dafuer muessen wir wieder ein Eintrittsgeld von $15 verlangen.
Hier ist das Menue:
Vorspeisen : steamed Shrimp, antipasto, backed quiches, Kaeseteller
Hauptgericht : Baked Penne, Veggie Gnocchi, Chicken Parmigian
Nachspeise : Plaetzchen, Plaumen oder Kaesekuchen, andere gebackene Koestlichkeiten (zubereitet bei Annette's Mama)
Getraenke : Wein (rot und weis), Bier, Alkoholfrei wie Wasser, Saft, Soda, Kaffee, Tee

I have moved this meet-up to an earlier date to coincide with the yearly Octoberfest weekend at the Towson Elks Lodge. They have graciously invited us to join them. On Friday is Schnitzel night with entertainment. Entrance is free!
So, if you aren't completely tired of Octoberfests come on out and celebrate with us!! The drinks are usually cheap and for this event they also have food available to be purchased (which they usually don't have). Here is the program line up from the Elk's Lodge: Music:
Friday: TKO Band 8:00pm to 12:00 midnight 40's to present with German favorites
Saturday: Pat O'Brennan 3:00pm to 6:00 pm Your home grown Baltimore Chesapeak Troubadour.
Bad Neighbors 8:00pm to 12:00 midnight All the songs you know and love from the 60's to today.
Food:
Friday: Schnitzel Night 6:00pm to 10:00pm Jaeger and Wiener Schitzel with appetizers and dessert.
Saturday: Wurst Day: 12:00 noon to 10:00pm The best of the Wurst, including Bratwurst, Knockwurst, Curry Wurst, Weiss Wurst, with Sauer
kraut and pretzels and french fries.
Sunday: Big Breakfast 9:00 to 12:00 Breakfast buffet with Bloody Marys and Mimosas
Big game Wurst 12:00 to 6:00 More bratwurst and beer for the NFL games (its a bye week for the Ravens)
Beer: Spaten and Franziskaner by the Mass (liter mug) for $7.00 you keep the Mug $5.00 refills. Bavaria by the bottle $2.50
We will meet there on Friday, but of course you are welcome to come back Saturday and Sunday to enjoy the full weekend program!! Wir treffen uns um Deutsch zu sprechen oder zu lernen und um Expatrioten zu understuetzen. Alle sind willkommen - die einzige Bedingung ist die Bereitschaft Deutsch zu sprechen (oder einfach zu zuhören). Du wirst gebuertige Deutsche und Leute die Deutsche lernen wollen treffen. Es sind Fortgeschrittene, sowie viele Fortgeschrittene Anfänger dabei, die deine Deutschkenntnisse gerne verbessern. Da wir uns in einem Lokal treffen, ist es eine entspannte Atmosphaere bei Drinks und kleinen Snacks . So ist es einfacher Sprachhemmungen oder Huerden zu ueberwinden.

If Okt 17 Sat. suits people better, I've canceled the 9/26.

So I should have around 20 to choose from. Those that come

I’ll have beer and soda, and I bought a bottle of Echtekroatzbeere.
Again, to keep it simple I will order Pizza and have some other
movie foods like pretzels and popcorn…. Directions will be provided
to those coming. Also it’s a kid friendly house so you don’t need to rule
yourself out if you have little ones. Although they should have
no impact on those choosing a film. You can always pop in a Disney.
Directions emailed to those that respond. Und naturlich wird der Film auf Deutsch sein.

Experience the harvest by volunteering to pick grapes and learn how grapes become wine. This will be followed by a delicious lunch and wine tasting.
