We had such a great time last year, let's check out the Deutsche Zentrale's German-American Festival on York Road in Parma again. Tickets are sold at the gate and are $5. Parking is free. Lots of good German food. Lots of good beer and shots (remember the Jägermeister girls?). Hopefully we won't see Dennis Kuchinich this year :-) There will be clowns, face painting, roaming musicians, pretzels, hot dogs, German pastries and cultural displays. Open 4 PM to midnight on Friday and 4 to midnight on Saturday. Let's meet on Friday at 6:30 PM in place of the Stammtisch at Das Schnitzel Haus.     Hm, clowns are scary, but maybe the good beer makes them seem less so. Warning for all Rotkohl-Fans: As far as I remember the peeps there were not the best at making red cabbage, but everything else was very good! Ich freue mich schon ganz doll!

It stopped raining just as we got there and although it was muggy we all had a great time under the pavilion, drinking Warsteiner, eating German food, getting to know each other and even some dancing.
