Introduction
Ich bin freiberufliche Übersetzerin und wohnte sechs Jahre in Bonn (1995-2001) und ein Jahr in Salzburg (1989-1990). Jetzt wohne ich in Solon und freue mich, andere deutschsprechende Leute kennenzulernen.
What level German do you speak?
To say I was a near-native would be inaccurate, but I'm pretty good.
Where did you learn to speak German?
I started in high school and kept studying German until I got my Master's in Translation at Kent. I have lived overseas for seven years.
Why are you interested in attending this Meetup?
I want to meet other German-speaking folks in the Cleveland area - and my spoken German has gotten a bit rusty.
What would you like to see the group do?
Get together at German restaurants, watch German movies, maybe even have a summer cookout with good brats and beer.
